During the last year of her term as the Dean of Studies for Computer Science in Tübingen, Prof. Enkelejda Kasneci started a project to streamline a way students can find out which courses the department is offering in any given semester and which area of studies they are assigned to. Before this, students needed to flip through different PDFs, talk it out with the individual lecturer, or just guess and hope for the best.

This project has been running for a while now and, as with all software projects, some technical debt has built up, people have left the team, etc. And with a lot of work already required to solve a few issues with the project as is, we decided it was time to overhaul the project with a complete rewrite.
